France - TRIP (Tax Rebate for International Productions)

France offers one of Europe’s most competitive incentives for international film and series production, with the TRIP providing 30% rebate on eligible French expenditure, or up to 40% when qualifying VFX thresholds are met. Designed to support both live-action and VFX-heavy productions, TRIP is a key driver for international projects choosing France as a production and post-production hub.

Some of our recent international productions benefiting from TRIP include The Last Duel by Ridley Scott, The Nun II by Michael Chaves, Cold Storage by Jonny Campbell and Netflix’s Murder Mystery 2, all of which leveraged France’s ecosystem of talent, infrastructure, and high-end post-production capabilities.

Belgium - Tax Shelter (with BE-VFX)

Belgium’s Tax Shelter is one of Europe’s most effective production financing tools, supporting filmmakers since 2003 and directing hundreds of millions into international productions every year. It allows producers to claim up to 40% of eligible Belgian spend, often at the start of the project, improving cash flow from prep through post. Unlike traditional rebate systems, it provides early financial leverage without recoupment pressure.

Through our partnership with BE-VFX, all eligible VFX vendors can be integrated into a Tax Shelter strategy, ensuring productions benefit from experienced partners and optimized structuring across VFX and production spend.

In addition, Wallonia offers complementary regional support mechanisms, reinforcing Belgium’s position as a highly competitive and production-friendly territory. The Mill is also a certified Walloon Gold Provider, enabling closer integration with regional incentives and local production ecosystems.
